Anni’s uncle makes the best biryani at his café, but he’s grumpy and keeps mum about his secret recipe。 Anni isn’t deterred and sets out to make the most scrumptious biryani。 I love a good foodie picture book, and this one delivers。 The story is adorable, the illustrations are vividly colorful, and it made me hungry。

let's discuss this one。 i loved the illustrations。 they are just breathtaking and fun!! so colorful and great。 but for me 。。。"kindle first" it was。 so being a Prime member i am able to pick 2 books that are available before they are to the public。 so, they will be available September 1st for others。 so that means i was reading on my kindle。 not a handheld (paperback or hard copy) so the pics and words cannot get any bigger which are super tiny。 u could get out the word enlarger 。。。but that is sm let's discuss this one。 i loved the illustrations。 they are just breathtaking and fun!! so colorful and great。 but for me 。。。"kindle first" it was。 so being a Prime member i am able to pick 2 books that are available before they are to the public。 so, they will be available September 1st for others。 so that means i was reading on my kindle。 not a handheld (paperback or hard copy) so the pics and words cannot get any bigger which are super tiny。 u could get out the word enlarger 。。。but that is smile。 i think kindle should allow for enlarging but i don't see a way to do so?? and i feel for kids or adults you wish to do that 。。。use their kindle instead of doing a real handheld book? u know。 i mean i can't be the only one。 that is the reasoning for lower stars。 all should be able to experience a great book。 and this is a great book。 so awesome!! just amazing!! a lot of the times folks can afford to buy kindle and other versions。 u know??! just a thought to think on。 。。。more

Mehra and Prabhat created a luscious, multilayered world in this story about a girl trying to learn the secret to making biryani the way the beloved, grumpy cafe owner does。 This story is also a love letter to biryani and it made me VERY hungry。
